Pharping & Bungamati day tour

After our Manaslu trekking we had a few days left in Kathmandu. We had seen the highlights of Kathmandu but there is also much interesting to see in the surroundings and we did that by Pharping & Bungamati day tour.
Pharping is a very old Buddhist pilgrimage place with a very nice Temple, I think one of the most important in Nepal. We had seen a lot of temples already and this one really was very beautiful. Most impressive was the spectacular view on top of the hill where the temple was situated. But what we liked most was the visit of Bungamati (Kathmandu village) Walking through this old medieval village is like walking through a museum. But than a real life museum. Woman making handcraft in front of their traditional houses. Many locals make a living as woodcarvers. People are very friendly and invite you to make pictures. I can recommend you a visit.
If you have enough time you should also visit Bhaktapur with a next day tour.
